To my best friends from high school, my core group of friends, my home-base — we've been through thick and thin over the four years we spent getting educated together.
For some of us, it was our first time in Catholic school but for others, it was another walk in the same park. The veterans showed us newbies some tips and tricks but really, we were all figuring everything out together. From our friend group morphing over time to getting each other obsessed with our favorite fandoms and bands, to having crazy adventures together, to always making new memes - we've truly experienced a hell of a lot together.
We've comforted each other through heartache, victories, setbacks, and with anything and everything that we've been through, there are no six other people that I would rather come to for anything. After numerous accounts of being down, I know that I can contact all of you at any time and you'll be a metaphorical shoulder to lean on, no matter how physically far away you are. We've done absolutely ridiculous stuff like lay face down in see through elevators, try on unconventional lip colors, been on joyrides only to find hilarious disappointment at places being closed, and played with toys that are made for kids younger than us. We may take joy in taking the mick out of each other but we are so damn passionate about our interests and in supporting each other's.
I could not even contain the immense joy and pride that I had for each of you when your acceptances came rolling in. We started an interesting journey together that sadly had to end, but I am so ecstatic that you all have the opportunity to begin journeys that will make you happy in the long-run. I could not wait for us all to decide on our futures just so we could celebrate being done with the stressful chapter of our lives that was the college search.
When we all went to Lake George together on a mini holiday following Prom, you have no idea how much I needed your company. It was a very difficult time in my life (End of Highschool Experience) and your smiles and laughter made me happier than I can ever express. The massive shopping spree we had on that rainy day, complete with milkshakes and knick-knacks, was a hell of an experience. Gossiping about our Prom excursions with mocktails in our hands was a true highlight — there is nothing better than digging up some fresh dirt on my favorite people.
We are a truly supportive of each other and very special bunch and I wouldn't trade our little gang of seven for anything. You have made me immensely happy and I am so grateful and proud to have you wonderful humans as friends. I will miss you more than I can eloquently express but the mere thought that other people will get to experience the amazing-ness that is all of you is what will keep me going through the serious withdrawal periods. I love you guys loads and I cannot wait to see what you do next. Cheers, lovelies!
With All My Love,
Em
