Thank You Mom, For Being The Best
Taylor Caponigro

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray.

I love you, mommy, here's a thank you for always being the sunshine in my life. I couldn't imagine how dark my world would be without you in it.

Dear Mom,

I so often took your kind words for granted. Your inspiration and wisdom is profound. Sometimes on simple nights like tonight, I lay in bed thinking of all the advice you have given me. How did I get so lucky with a mom like you? You are the first person I reach for the phone to call when something goes wrong or in other terms just not my way, which as you know is hard for me to cope with. You are the only one I want to tell about all my failures because you make them feel like successes. Because of you I worry less, thank you for that. You are the first shoulder I want to cry on because I know you will never grow weary of my heavy head. Your heart is so big and so filled with love to share, thank you for sharing it with me. I never go a day without feeling adored by you. You are the first person I want to share the good news with because you are my biggest cheerleader in this competition we call life.

Mom, you are so much more than a hug on a bad day or a life lesson when I need it the most. You are so much more than texts and phone calls to let you know how much I care about you and need you. You are a saint sent to guide, support and love me and you do it unconditionally. Your love knows no limits. Whether I am a bedroom away or many many miles, I am certain of one thing and that is you will always be my go-to gal. So many people come and go, thanks for staying. Thank you for answering my phone calls even if it's just my weekly debate about which new dress to buy. You sure do always pick my favorite without even knowing it. Thank you for making me feel better about my bad grade on a test or homework assignment. You never make me feel like any less of myself. A life with you knows no bad days. I know at times I fall short of the person you want me to be and I may not always be perfect, but one day I hope I can be as great as you. But most importantly, mom, if I haven't said it enough, thank you for making me happy when skies are gray. You really will never know dear how much I love you. Please never take my sunshine away.

Love always,

Your baby girl

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
