To My Future Husband Who I Look Forward To Spending My Life With

I can't wait for the years to come.

Dear Future Husband,

First let me say that I hope and look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. I count down the days until I can be your wife. I know I don’t have to take your last name and you don’t really care whether I take it or not, but I plan to and I’m so excited for it.

Wedding planning has been a headache, but every second has been worth it to share this moment with our friends and family, and it’s something I wouldn’t trade for the world.

You are my best friend, and I didn’t realize that when we started dating, but I’m so glad you are now. You know how to handle me when I’m happy, sick, angry, and even hungry (the greatest of ALL of my evils). You truly bring out the best in me.

I say all of this to make this point: we are going to have good days and bad days, days where we don’t or can’t speak to each other to solve our problems. I hope on those days we can look back at this letter and remember our love for each other.

I’m insecure and awkward, and as my husband, you’re going to see a lot of that; I’m trusting you with all of me, even the nervous, broken bits. I hope you can do the same.

I swear with my entire self that I will honor, cherish, and love you unconditionally (unless you cheer for the Seahawks again…. Then we’re going to have problems), and that even though times may get hard, I will work with you to make them better.

I have spent years getting to know you and fall in love with you, and I can’t wait for more, except as your WIFE.

Love,

Your Bride-to-be.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
