To my precious andbeautiful daughter,
I see you down there. You're struggling right?
I see you trying to prevent yourself from drowning, putting all your energy into it. You're spent. You're tired. You're exhausted. You feel as though the world is crumbling beneath your feet.
You wake up filled with anxiety at what the day will bring, worried about the outcome. You look in the mirror, only to hate on yourself more, wishing your thighs were thinner, or your face had less break-outs.
As your day continues, situations are added to the already existing pile and your brain is twirling like a ballerina.
You question everyday: Why relief hasn't come yet? Why haven't my prayers haven't been answered?
However, there are just some problems that will not be solved, even though you will tirelessly try. In the end, you will learn to release that. You'll learn to let go of the trying, the fixing, and the frustration. You will see that these highs and lows in life, these situation that seem to last forever, have a hidden purpose.
I want to teach you to love yourself so that you can learn how to love Me, and eventually, learn how to love others.
I want to teach you to stop looking in the mirror to try and fix something that was never broken in the first place. I want to show you that the opinions others have of you do notdefine what I say or think about you. You see, those are two different things with two different outcomes. You're worth so much more than what you hear. Why drink from limited wells with water that has been altered, when you have the opportunity to never be thirsty again.
Have you forgotten?
Before a situation even crosses your path, it has already gone through my hands. I know the strength it will take to complete, so I never have caused you to do it alone. Yes, it will cause you to question me, but when you zoom out in the end, you will see that I never truly allowed you to face it alone. I was there the whole time, and I always will be there, directly in the middle. I'll be filling the gap.
Was I silent? Maybe. Did your faith in me grow? Definitely.
The transition stage will be the hardest. The detour I take you through might be long, but learn to trust me, because I'm pruning you. I will prune issues out your heart, attitudes out of your mind, and individuals from your life. It might sting, but never forget from where you refuge comes from. Your heart might be broken, but that gives me the opportunity to mold you into the daughter of Christ I created you to be. So today, I want you to remember what I say you are:
You are utterly beautiful and perfectly valuable to me, because when I look down on you, I look past what you think you are and look directly into your heart. I see you for you. I see a candle that, although it may have already been burned, is fulfilling its purpose.
One step at a time.
Let your brokenness become your blessing. I've moved in your favor before, so don't doubt me now. Let my love surround your heart, that you might see the meaning behind this all.
Sweet child of mine, when the world tries to beat the "why" question out of you, offer it back to your heart, and say, "Yes. This is the way." To take away that "why" question is to take away the purpose-filled plan I have for your life. Trust me, I know what I am doing. I am sovereign over all you are facing and I know more than you could ever know. I see more than you see. I love you more than you could ever love yourself.
You are not a failure. You are my masterpiece in the making.
With love,
the King of Kings, the Alpha and Omega, the Healer, your Heavenly Father.
