Every time I come across this quote, my mind goes right to you, my best friend, my person. Someone who you have a connection that is deeper than a friendship, but shares the same soul as you. That's your person.
To my person,
I have known you since basically my whole life since we were two years old to be exact. We have shared so many memories together that I wouldn't trade for the world. For knowing each other roughly twenty years now, it's safe to say that you are stuck with me now. You are my person I want to talk to when I'm feeling down and need a laugh or when I need to update you on my life.
You are my person when I need help just making a decision, whether I cannot decide what to eat for dinner or if I should go to the gym. Being at different universities, FaceTime is such a blessing. Your friendship is one of the single most important relationships in my life.
You have been through it all, the awkward phase of obsessing over the Jonas Bros to getting accepted to our favorite Universities. And all of the little things in between. Thank you for just being you, someone who has a heart full of gold. Someone who has so much determination and strength that I cannot begin to imagine. I look up to you in so many ways you might not even know.
For knowing someone for so long, you know that life without them would merely suck. Who would I Snapchat all day for no apparent reason? Who would I text about Netflix shows like 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'The Office,' etc.? I know I can always count on you. I cherish our friendship immeasurably. I cannot even begin to say "Thank You," because I know it is not enough. Though, I will say thank you for the millions of times you’ve shown up in my life and made it inexplicably better.
The kind of friendship where is so comfortable where sweatpants and a messy bun is acceptable. The kind of friendship where we do not need to keep score who is doing better life and who isn't'. The kind of friendship where I did not know that I needed until you walked into my life. That's why you are my person.
I know that God made us best friends for a reason, though I'm not exactly sure what it is, I can't imagine my life without you. The fact that I know we will be in each other's lives until we are at least 80 years old makes my heart happy.
