You know who are. Matt, Maria, and Johanna, words cannot express how lucky I am to have you in my life. Getting to know you through the theatre has been amazing. I wouldn't have wanted to do three shows this year with anyone else. Getting to know you through Dolly and then playing MarioKart the one night, I think was the start of the friendship between the four of us.

Johanna or Jane or Michelangelo, which ever you wish to go by, thanks for making me and the others laugh. Constantly. You snap stories literally kill me, and the fact you own a washboard makes it even better. I loved getting to push you around the stage in a wheelchair no matter how many times you said "Not the stairs you idiot." Thanks for going on the Ignite retreat with me and sharing a room with me and faith. I was so lucky to also get to be in the same small group as you. I can't wait to see how you kill it as PR Director for the Company next year.

Maria or Margarita or Noodle, thanks for being the sass and common sense in our friend group. You tried to help me talk Johanna into sleeping during finals week. Also, thanks for being my mass buddy when I had to go to All Souls Day Mass, even if you skippped class to go. Also, I can't wait to see all the fun that happens in your room next year as you room with Johanna and the washboard. Thanks for being the leader of our little quartet.

Matthew or Hewy or OLSH Pep Band, thanks for being the lone guy that puts up with the three girls of our group. Also, you make a pretty great snake. You never cease to make me laugh with your little snipets of sass and funny sayings. I'm so glad to call you friends, even if friend is a strong word, and even though your almost always late when we meet up for meals. Thanks for listening to me freak during scheduling when I didn't get my classes. Thanks for being a reason for me to go see G&S shows.

My freshman year would have been completely different if you guys weren't apart of it. Who else would I hang out with on a random weekend night or order pizza with before finals. Thanks for practicing for auditions with me, or going to a practice room after dinner just hear me play two little lines of a song. I don't think anyone else would want to be a "Ninja Turtle" but the four of us. I'm so glad we have eachothers backs, no matter what happening. I can't wait for the next three years with you guys. Thanks for being understanding, caring, and wonderful to me no matter how bad of a mood I was in. Thanks for watching VeggieTales with me before Dolly, even though I now don't know how in the world we got on watching it.

I honestly don't know how I'm gonna make it through the summer without seeing you guys. The past nine months with you guys by my side have been unforgettable. I love you guys more than words could ever describe. Thanks for being on this journey called freshman year with me. You're all amazing. Here's to us and the next three years together, may it be full of laughter and memories.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
