Dear Mormor,

I would like to start off by saying that I love you very much. I know that you have been going through a lot right now and wanted to let you know that I miss you. It's been a while since we saw each other but I know we will see each other very soon.

You are everything that I could want in a grandmother. You are a friend, a role model, and an overall strong human being. We have a lot in common. We are both very in touch with our feelings and express them when we're hurting. You have always been one to show your true emotions, and I admire that.

My favorite moments we have spent together would be at the bingo hall. Every week, you would come pick me up, and we would enjoy some bonding time while the caller said numbers. We would always cheer each other on, whether we won or lost. I made friends at the bingo hall, but you have always been my number one supporter and that support is mutual.

I remember coming over to your house while I was growing up. I would say hello to your Yorkies and give you a big hug. It was always a treat to get to spend the night and enjoy some Smartfood popcorn.

I remember the exact location you sat in the kitchen, watching either Judge Judy, Let's Make a Deal, and The Price is Right. I know those are your favorite shows because of how much you watch them. I also know that your favorite foods are Swedish meatballs and bacon. You used to give us Swedish Fish and I loved that very much. There are so many memories and things that we did together that I am so appreciative of.

There is another memory that I simply could not forget to add: that memory is Long Beach Island. Every summer, we all packed our belongings and headed down the shore for two weeks of fun. I want to take this time to thank you for giving us the opportunity to go every single summer. It's because of you that we all came together as a family and I will never forget that.

Thank you. Thank you for the times we have spent together. Thank you for the cards with that drawing you love to write. I believe you told me that you were drawing a peanut but I saw it as an eight. Thank you for bringing our family so close together. Thank you for picking me up at school when I was sick. Thank you for taking me to the doctors when I was too scared to go in on my own. You helped raise me. You are like a third parent to me and I will always cherish that.

At the end of the day, you are a strong woman and can fight anything. I know that you can fight this with full force. I believe in you; no matter what happens, I care about you and love you lots. I will be by your side forever and always. You will always be my Mormor and that will never change.

Love You Lots,

Michelle

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
