Mom,

I want to start off by saying that this day is all about you. It is a day to celebrate you and all that you have done for this family. All that you have done for me. I'm sitting here trying to find the words to describe you, but its nearly impossible because a million things come to my mind. You taught me so much of everything I know. You showed me the way and lead me on the path to becoming the person I am today. You taught me to always stay humble and kind. You taught me that it's okay to be sensitive, but also to not worry so much about what others think of me. You showed me how to be a good person, because after all, you are the greatest person there is. Everyone who knows you is touched by your friendliness and incredible heart. I grew up wanting to be you and hoping that one day I would be become half the woman you are. I saw from an early age that your beauty was not only external, but internal as well. You've always been able to call me out when I needed it in order to become a better and stronger person. You know what I need before I even do. I know that no matter what time of the day it is, that you are only one call away. Within you, Mom, I have found not only a Mom but a friend, and a role model. You got me through the hard times, you supported me in the good times, and you never failed to assure me that I can do anything I put my mind to. I'd like to think God made me your daughter for a reason, because he knew you were exactly what I needed. You raised me and my siblings in the best way possible, with love. Mom, you guided me to my faith showing me that above all, God has a plan. I could not imagine a life where I wouldn't have you next to me every step of the way. In a world, where not everyone is lucky enough to be blessed with a Mother, I thank my lucky stars everyday that you are the woman who raised me. I am sorry if there has ever been a moment where you've thought you haven't done your job. Every good quality I possess, I've gained through your wisdom and by walking your footsteps. There is a quote I found online that I believe describes us perfectly, "Always together, Never apart, Maybe in distance, But never at heart." Even though I am not living right down the hall from you anymore, you're always with me. Every pivotal moment of my life, whether you are there physically or not, you are there with me. No matter how far apart we will be, I know you are always there to hold my hand and touch my heart. Mom, I am nothing without you, you are my whole world. Thank you for teaching me how to live a life through Christ and a life full of love and strength. I love you, Happy Mother's Day.

With Love,

Your daughter

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
