Dear Little Sister,
It's me-- your big sister. There may be a big age gap between us, but I never for a minute ever doubt your incredible worth. Well, here's the thing. Even though I may get angry whenever you steal my clothes (even though they don't quite fit you yet), or you try and take things from my room when I'm away at college, and I catch you wearing my accessories, I can only hope that I can help you to become a wonderful woman in the future.
As your big sister, I hope that my life lessons become your own, and you become a strong, independent young woman. I hope that you never let anyone push you to your limits, and never take anyone's words to heart because you are worth more than you could ever imagine. I hope that you learn and grow from me, because I know you have taught me so many life lessons even though you may be younger than me.
If I could tell you one thing, I would tell you to never allow your dreams to be pushed to the side, and always push yourself to the limit. Do what is best for you in every circumstance and reach out to the stars. Accomplish more than you could ever even dream of accomplishing. In whatever situation it my be, such as sports, school, or even a future job, always go the extra mile because the reward at the end are more fulfilling. Always put in 110 percent, because the outcome is worth the while. Be ambitious. Be strong. Be courageous.
As I have learned in my life, if you are successful, be humble about your success. Always be humble and allow yourself to see the blessings that God has gave you. While being humble, make sure to show gratitude. Be someone who brings out the good in others and allows them to see the good in themselves. Listen to your friends and make sure to always stand up for the people you love. Stand up for what is right, even when it may seem like the unpopular path. Blossom into a beautiful flower that grows from the smiles she receives from others.
So, little sister, I hope that you take my advice and never let anyone dull your sparkle. Being a big sister is a tough job, because it is my job to set a good example because even though you do not want to admit it, I know you aspire to be somewhat like me. I am so grateful that God blessed me with a little sister, because I do not think anything will be more amazing than watching you grow up into a beautiful young woman. Know that I will always be there no matter what, and know that I will always be your number one supporter. Thank you for teaching me to better myself into the woman I am becoming, because without you I certainly would not be the person that I am at this point in time. You will always not only be my little sister, but also, my best friend.
With lots of love,
Your Big Sister
