To My Graduating Sorority Sisters

To My Graduating Sisters,

First of all, let me say congrats! You guys have worked so hard to get to this place and I am so proud of how far you have come. No you may not have been my sisters for very long, but the lessons that you have taught me and my Pledge Class are incredible! The final countdown is here what you have worked so hard for the last 4 years is finally here!

First and foremost, you are all incredible women. You are strong and independent and you are teaching us how to get to that level of maturity. You taught us how to be confident in who we are and to never let anyone hold you back. You taught me how to wear my letters proud and the true meaning behind them. You showed me what it is like to be an actual sorority girl and not a stereotypical one.

I want to thank you all for bringing into this organization. You all were the examples that my PC tried to be like. When we saw you in your black dresses in pref round I knew that I wanted to be you. The way you interacted with each other was incredible. After joining and being able to bond with all of you I realized that is how you interact with each other every day plus so much more. The love and bond between your Pledge Class is incredible and I hope that in three years my pledge class will be in the same spot. Thank you for showing me what a true sister is, what a true woman is, and what a true Chi O is.

You have left an impact here on campus, but also with our organization. From E-board, to my academic mentor, to just being our friends, the list goes on. You have touched my life so much in the weeks that I have known you and I know that you have touched everyone around me. My goal is to carry down what you have set in place. To carry down the incredible legacy that you all have begun. You have made this chapter what it is and we want you to know that we see that. We appreciate it and we love it.

As you go into your careers we know that you will do incredible. You are going to dominate the real world just like you dominated college here. We are waiting to see what you do and are always here if you need anything at all. Just know that this will always be a home for you. Your sisters are just one call away. We are so proud good luck; you will be missed.

Sincerely,

Your Sorority Sisters

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
