To My Future Bridesmaids

You ladies are the key ingredient to my special day.

Going back to my hometown is something I happily count down the days for. I know when I return home I have my lovely group of marvelous women awaiting a fun-filled weekend of shenanigans. I am blessed to have these angels to call my best friends. They are all dear to my heart and they never leave me short of an obnoxious laugh or extremely important, much needed advice at all the right times.

As the years go on we become busier and more independent, however, nothing will ever replace you ladies, my most cherished memories are those of my wonderful friends. From the binge watching of our favorite TV shows, to filling our bellies at our favorite restaurants, to the excessive purchases of clothing, bath, and body products, we do so in each other's company.

I vow to each one of you that our exciting journey doesn't end once marriage begins, the bachelorette party is not the last night of freedom, it is the mark of an even larger commitment to someone, which can be a scary thought to some but not for us. We will share bigger belly laughs, more spilt drinks, an abundance of delicious food, deeper conversations, harder tears to cry, and the longest hugs because we will never want to let each other go!

You ladies have been there for my every up and down; the roller coaster of life and I cannot wait to have you all by my side for one of the biggest days of my life, my wedding day!

We will continue to grow old together. Life gets hectic, we have to balance full time jobs and families but there is no doubt in my mind that will hinder our close friendship.

That all being said, I want you ladies, I need you ladies, to walk the aisle before me on my wedding day. I want the entire crowd of family and friends to know that this big day isn't just about my soon to be husband and I. It is also about you.

The ladies who gave me the confidence I needed when I was insecure, the guidance I needed when I was lost, the hand to hold when I was lonely, and the heart that loves me unconditionally. I want everyone to know who is truly handing me over to this man, you amazing women who helped me become the woman I am today.

With you wonderful women by my side, even after my wedding day when I will have a family to support, I know my ladies will have my back through all the changes, good and bad. I look forward to the days when our families are like family to one another and we can be the “crazy aunts” of each other kids that we aspire to be! The days when we can treat one another to dinner and dress to the nines. However, bare with me, I still need the nights in my pajamas with you ladies watching classic, romantic comedies while stuffing our faces with Papa John’s pizza and clenching tissue boxes.

Thank you for the memories thus far and I look forward to our wacky, beautiful futures together. I love you ladies more than words can describe.

Until I see you again,

Xoxo the future bride to be

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
