I can't believe we have finally reached the time in our lives where we have to say our last goodbyes before college. Even though we have prom, graduation and the rest of the summer to enjoy ourselves before you leave, it's still going to be a dramatic change in our lives. No more walking the halls, eating gross school lunches or following around the hot english teacher.
On our last day of highschool, it finally hit me how fast time truly goes. It feels like just yesterday we were freshman in highschool, wishing we were upperclassman about to graduate and move on with our lives. I remember writing our names on the school benches with the year of our graduating class, just so we can look back at it our senior year. Those final moments counting down the last 15 minutes of our high school career, holding hands and crying hysterically into each other's arms is a moment I will never forget. It showed how much we love each other and how much we cherished the 4 years we have spent together. The memories I have made with you all will forever be in my heart and nothing will ever beat high school friendships. To my friends going away:
Lindsey- Words can't describe how much I will miss you. I will miss our sleep overs, our beach days and our vacations together. I would not rather have spent these past 4 years with anyone else by my side. You truly have been such an amazing friend and your college friends have no idea what a selfless, smart and kind person is coming there way. You have really been there for me at times I needed someone the most and I know you will forever defend me in any situation because that's just how you are. I know we will be life long friends and no matter where we both end up, we will stay as close as we are forever. Binghamton is so lucky to have you.
Leena- O leena, what am I going to do without my movie/food buddy? I can no longer send you a text asking to see a last minute movie or stuff our faces at panera. We have been so close since 7th grade health class when you told me I looked like the boy sitting next to me, before you found out he was my twin brother. I remember coming to your house for the very first time, thinking of how huge your backyard was and how nice your pool is. I want to thank you for always being that person I don't have to be serious around. We laugh uncontrollably 99% of the time when we hangout, probably not even knowing what were laughing about. I know you will be another lifelong friend and distance can't tear apart the bond we have. Oneonta is so lucky to have you.
Lauren- Laur! Where do I even start. The amount of things you and your family have done for me is insane. I truly have always felt like I was apart of it and everytime I come over it's like I never left. We have the type of friendship where we can go weeks without hanging out but as soon as we do, it's like nothing ever changed and we catch up ASAP. Going to different high schools and living in different towns was a little tricky at times but we made it work and stayed inseparable. We have a countless amount of crazy memories and we have really been through alot together, especially this year. I want to thank you for never failing to show how much you love and care for me. Even when you were going through things yourself at the time, you never failed to check up on me as much as you could and that kindness did not go unnoticed. I am so excited to see the things you accomplish at college. You are such a bright person and you have so many great things going for you. I'm so excited to see where the future takes our friendship, I know you'll be my sister forever. New paltz is so lucky to have you.
Now as you guys go away to college and I commute, I will be here waiting every holiday break for you to come home. I will still be here with open arms, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. Our distance means nothing because I know you are only a text and a phone call away. I will miss you more than anything during our time apart, but I will have such a sense of comfort that you are at your dream school doing what you have always wanted to do. I hope you make new friends who appreciate you as much as I did, because you deserve no less. Time will fly by and we will see eachother again, so have fun and I will see you soon.
Sincerely, Tori
