To my school people,
We are coming down to our last two months together before we go home for the summer. I know that summer will go by quickly but with all of the work from our classes and clubs piling up on us now, it can be easy for us to forget to appreciate the time left in year that we have together. We are all at the point where we are tired of the school year and maybe some of us have been feeling that way for a while but I want to take a moment to say how much I really appreciate you because in busy times like this, the appreciation that is normally shown becomes less apparent and our stress starts to take over. So I am saying this now before my work becomes my life and I spend more time in the library than hanging out in your room.
Thank you for the little things like making breakfast, lunch and dinner plans (even though it's only in the dining hall.) Thank you for always being down to go for walks at night even if they are silent and we end up lost. Thank you for laughing at my jokes even when you do not really find them funny. Thank you watching The Office and New Girl with me when we really should be doing homework. Thank you for having dance parties instead of going to the library. And thank you for the big things. Thank you for reminding me of the person I am, especially when I seem to forget. Thank you for worrying about my problems when you have your own. Thank you for taking care of me in moments where I need help. Thank you for not judging me on any of the stupid things I say.
We are heading into the busiest weeks of the semester and I just wanted to say this all now before we all become consumed in our work and it slips our minds. Thank you for the small things that you don't even think of and thank you for the things that I cannot repay you for. It sounds cheesy, but thank you for being my friend unconditionally.
Love you always,
Your thankful friend
