To My Forever Best Friend

Sometimes you meet those people in life who you just immediately click with. You can laugh about anything, make fun out of nothing and you just know that they'll be a part of your life forever. This one's for my forever best friend.

To my forever best friend,

Thank you for being here since the start. Every time I look at a picture of us with ponytails sticking straight up at the top of our heads and a huge cheesy smile with teeth missing I can't help but feel lucky. I'm thankful to have had almost the past two decades of my life with you by my side. We've shared so many memories.

We went to our first concert together when we were so little we had to be held up to get a good view. Our families went on vacation together and we rocked bikinis even while we still had our baby fat. We went to school dances with our crazy friend group. We were even by each other's side during our awkward middle school phase. We even started college together. You were there for every single important milestone, I've passed in my life thus far and I can't wait for you to be there for all the future ones. You're my future maid of honor. A godmother to one of my future children. And definitely my best friend for the rest of my life.

The best part about finding a forever best friend like you is no matter how much time passes, nothing changes. I could be away from you for months and the second we hang out again we pick up right where we left off. Thanks for having the same dumb humor I do and laughing at all the stupid things I say. Thanks for always wanting to binge watch the same TV shows that I do. I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else. Thanks for only being a text away when I'm having a hard day. I know you'll drop everything and come comfort me no matter how much time has passed since we last hung out. I'm beyond thankful for you and would be completely lost without you.

So my forever best friend, thanks for coming into my life. I wouldn't be able to make it through without you.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
