You were originally a outdoor pup, spending the first 6 months of your life on a farm chasing cattle, but your owners no longer wanted you. I got you 7 months ago as a 6 month old puppy. The person who brought you to me had only the best of intentions, but you were not meant to be mine.
You needed to be outside running, playing, doing what working dogs do, you needed a job. With humans that work all day, you got bored and hated being in your crate for long periods, and I hated that for you. You deserve a home where you can run and be free and do whatever it is that you feel like doing.
You're an amazing dog, so smart, even though you don't show it. You would rather run around and be goofy, or jump up on me and lick my face. You prefer not to be too serious, life's too short to be serous all the time, right?
You're so sweet, all of the time. You loved to come up to me and sit at my feet and stare at me with those big brown eyes, as if I was your whole world. You aren't a cuddling type dog because you always like to be on the move, but you'll never say not to some head scratches and belly rubs. Your favorite place to be scratched it right between your eyes and the bridge of your nose, it's also the only thing that gets you to sit still.
I hope your new family loves you as much as I do and cherishes you every day; you're the best girl and deserve only the best.
To my dogs new human(s),
Love her unconditionally and don't get mad at her. She's always been really timid and we don't know how her life was before us. She's an amazing girl with so much potential. She wouldn't hurt a fly but she'll demolish the dot from a laser pointer. She doesn't like being left alone because she's afraid you won't come back, even though I tell her every day I'll see her later. She will be your best friend, just give her time to adjust to you and understand her new environment.
Loud noises sometimes scare her, just reassure her that she will be okay. She also has a sensitive tummy so try not to give her anything other than her dog food and treats. She loves to run and play outside so spend lots of time in the yard throwing a ball or just running in circles with her (she'll probably try to herd you anyways). Understand that she'd had it kind of tough in her first year of life as she tries to find her perfect home. Love her as much as I do and do for her what I couldn't.
Good luck on your new journey sweet girl. Mommy will always love you.
