Dear Coffee,

I know we used to not get along, but I hope you can forgive me for all those years that I denied your goodness.

It seems like it was just yesterday that a friend of mine pushed me to try some from Starbucks on our weekly meet-ups and from then on, I never went back.

Our love first began with a Grande Vanilla Iced Coffee with 2% milk from Starbucks. Oh, how far we've come since then. I am sorry for how discriminatory I was, I know I used to never like you hot. Don't worry I am past that stage, and very much enjoy my hot cup of coffee in the mornings.

I cannot lie to you though. I definitely like the sweeter side of you better. When you have that nice creamy glow and are extra sweet is when we get along most. Those days are my favorite.

I know I've lost my roots and become more of a Dunkin' girl than Starbucks, what can I say, I'm a broke college girl and my dining dollars are limited.

I know what you're thinking though... I make you compete with Chick-fil-A for my dining dollars, but what can I say, your girl has got to eat!

Coffee, you really have changed my life. You have made the endless all-nighters possible. To be honest, you are probably one of the only reasons I was able to make it through my world history final last semester.

You make the impossible seem a little more possible.

You give me a pick me up when I'm feeling low on energy.

You warm my body as you slide own my throat caffeinating me and heating my shivering self during the cold, bitter months.

During the summer, I can always count on my iced coffee keeping me going, awake, and you prevent me from overheating.

One of the biggest things I want to thank you for is how you have given me something to bond with others over. The endless coffee dates. There is something about you that is just so special. You bring people together. You bring comfort in those awkward or hard talks. Coffee, you unite people and bring out the best in people (as long as you aren't dumped on people, then not so much). Your Aurora brings happiness and a sense of belonging.

I can always count on you to cheer me up. In fact, we continue to grow, as I continue to love all your different personalities (flavors) and appreciate your uniqueness. Thank you for making my days more productive. Thank you for being my fuel.

I love you a latte.

Sincerely,

Your Lover

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
