Blake,
The day has finally come; for the first time in six years we will be apart for more than a few weeks! It seems like just yesterday you were showing me around MGMS my first day. Over the six years, we created a bond that only we seem to understand. We went to middle and high school together, we work together. Now were about to head out on our own paths.
So let's go down a journey through memory lane!
Summer of Freshmen year: You got me hooked on One Direction
Beginning of Sophomore year: We both tried out for the forensics team and both made it! It was the beginning of a journey we'd never thought we'd take!
December of Sophomore year: I surprise you with One Direction tickets! We both cry and can't wait till august!
August of Sophomore year summer: We scream the entire way to Detroit, get lost in a bad part of town. Then finally see our favorite band live together!
April of Junior year: We lose our dear grandma Jean. We came together as a family and spoke highly of the incredible women she was
August before senior year: I start at Zhenders! We officially work together!
End of April/Early May of Senior Year: You forget your dress shoes on our way to forensics states! But it all worked out because we both placed fourth in the state! And even got to live it up at our senior prom afterwards. The night got even better when we ditched and got Taco Bell.
Middle of May: We start of the Mackinac trip by you forgetting your suit bag, but we then continued the amazing weekend at the Grand Hotel. We ate incredible food and dressed like the classy people we are!
End of May of Senior Year: We throw our tassels in the air, and realize we graduated.
The memories don't end there but those are a few of my favorite ones. We both learned from another and watch each other grow into the people we are today.
We are family by blood, but were friends by choice.
As you go off to Eastern, remember I couldn't be more proud. Know that it could be 3 AM and I'll pick up phone if you need me. Or in your case, high tale it down there because you got lost or forgot your shoes.
Good luck on the next step of your journey!
Love,
Haley
