You’re my oldest friend and my closest friend. Without you, I’d be half the person I am today. My favorite childhood memories consist of catching frogs, building forts, dreaming about the future and having you by my side for each and every one. Sharing my life and having someone like you by my side through the good times and the bad times has definitely made my life easier and a hell of a lot more fun.
As we got older, we might not have always had the chance to spend as much time together as we would’ve liked but as soon as we got together again, it was right back to our typical shenanigans and we never even missed a beat. You get me for exactly who I am and when we're together I never have to explain myself or my actions and that’s the most comforting thing ever. You know my quirks and my faults and I know I can always be my 100 percent self around you.
You’ll always be my partner in crime and my number one secret keeper. Whenever I need you I know you’ll be there and I hope you know I’ll always be there for you too. You definitely know all the stupid things I’ve done, and to be completely honest, you’ve been right by my side for most of them. Anyways, the way I see it there’s no one better to get into trouble with than my partner in crime.
Having shared and been through all the same family highs and lows has definitely made us that much closer and strengthened our relationship and I know that it’s completely unbreakable. We fight, we laugh, we cry, and we smile but no matter what I wouldn’t take a single thing back. We may not always get along, but regardless of what happens, we bounce right back and we never dwell on stupid arguments or regretted words. From crazy family weddings that definitely got a little bit out of hand – yes, I’m pointing at you – to some of the hardest and most painful moments and losses, you’ve been there for me and I’ve been there for you.
Most of all, I can’t even begin to tell you how proud I am of you and all the things you’ve accomplished. Watching you become the person you are today has been incredibly inspirational to me and you definitely push me to be better in all things I do. You give me hope, encouragement and the extra push I sometimes need and looking up to you keeps me striving for greatness. You know what you want, and you do not stop until you get it because you know what you deserve. I can’t wait to see what this life has in store for us, and I know that whatever comes our way, we'll get through it and make the best out of it.
