Telling people that I have two brothers has generally produced similar reactions over the years such as “Oh my gosh, I feel so bad for you,” or “How do you do it?”, and “You are one brave girl”, and many others of this sort.
However, when people make comments like this to me, I look at them, smile, and think to myself that they could not be more wrong. My two brothers are my best friends in the world and I would do anything in the world for them.
Any girl who has grown up with two brothers knows that if the TV is on, sports are on. I have grown up watching golf tournaments on the weekends, Monday Night Football instead of Bachelor Mondays, every Memphis Grizzlies game, college football games on Saturdays, and constant reruns of ESPN sports center. Although I used to get annoyed that sports were the only thing ever on the TV, it has taught me to know more about sports than almost any girl and has also allowed me to spend quality time with my brothers as they yell at the TV when their favorite team has lost a big game.
My brothers also bring more entertainment to my life than any TV show could bring. They make some of the weirdest remarks and even though I hate to admit it, they are pretty funny. No matter if we are driving to dinner or just sitting on the couch together, I know that any minute I spend with them will not be dull.
Growing up with two brothers is doubtless entertaining and even though I do disagree with my brothers about the littlest things, I know that they would both be there for me if I ever needed anything. They are the best friends I could ask for and I am so glad they are mine.
Jake and Daniel, I miss you both so much and I wish more than anything that we could just be sitting on the couch together laughing about almost anything, but no matter how far we are from each other, I will always be there for you both! I love you so much and am so proud to call you my brothers!
