It's July and the summer is coming to an end, but like most other college students our summers don't consist of too much fun and traveling (with the exception of those who have the financial means so, not many). For most of us we take summer classes and work long hours trying to pay for school or save money for things like moving out or getting a car. So, for all the other go-getters out their here's a few things to do before August comes around.
1. Adventure
Working hard is great but everyone needs a little break so get out and have fun. Do something that isn't the norm for you. Go out dancing or maybe take a day to float along the river. No money? Have a day with friends make dinner together or order in and play some games. A little change is good,
2. Plan
Check your fall information. Make sure your classes are all lined up, maybe even look up your textbooks on places like texts.com. Save yourself some money! Also takes the stress off a bit. Check what supplies you might need, paper, pens, snacks, mini-fridge, post-its, backpack etc...
3. Sun
Summer is a time to be outside. Get some sunlight. It may not be the best weather humidity, rain etc... but hey enjoy!
It's just a few things but maybe you forget have a day for yourself and maybe your stuck in the moment of work/school/kids day to day. Planning and fun sound like opposites but really they're best together.
Also, school isn't bad it just means the crew will be together again!
You get your routine back.
Not that you won't be tired.. but at least you'll know what your week will look like.
The fall is almost here but use the time you have, enjoy it! and embrace the fall. Education is a gift! Good luck in the fall! (:
