1. Sleep
Thanksgiving break is filled with festivities, family, and chaotic event planning. Some argue that participating in activities is their ideal vacation. However, everyone needs some time to themselves and time to sleep. So, don't be afraid to schedule some downtime, wake up late, or take naps. Catching up on your sleep will not only renew you to be more positive at social outings, but you will also be able to do multiple tasks with more energy, as you enjoy your time off away school and work.
2. Catch up with old friends
Spending time with people you love and haven't seen in a while brings a freshness to your life, as well as further develops those friendships. We need to take advantage of our time off and spend quality time with loved ones. I am definitely excited to hear all that my friends have to tell and experience new things with them over break!
3. Spend time with your family
Although it is tempting to initially only think of spending time with friends or a boyfriend or girlfriend, your family needs some attention too! Spending quality time with your family will relieve stress, bring laughter, and fill your heart with warmth. The holiday season is meant to renew these relationships.
4. Eat healthy food
Give your body a break from the college diet and try new things, new fruits, new vegetables. With the exception of Thanksgiving dinner, allow your body to detox. Renewing your health will make a monumental impact on every aspect of your life, especially when you return to your hectic lives.
5. Catch up on projects
Take one day out of your break and catch up on work. This will relieve stress over break, as well as during the time you return from vacation. By doing this, you will have more time to spend with family and friends, binge watch your Netflix shows, and thoroughly enjoy your vacation! Happy Thanksgiving!
