Tinder Isn't All Bad

Tinder, the dating/hookup app that has exploded in recent years, has a bad reputation amongst people of all ages. Why? It's honestly not that bad... Just hear me out on a few reasons why we could all grow to love Tinder.

1. Everyone kind of has one now

I can guarantee you that if you like up ten people and ask all of them who has a Tinder, at least 7 of them will raise their hands. It's not taboo anymore, so why are people still acting like it's the worst thing known to man?

2. The best pick up lines

Just put that you like pick-up lines in your bio and they'll come flooding in. You can match with any old Chase, David or Adam and within seconds he's sent you his best pick up lines that you can then screenshot and send to your friends for the archives.

3. Reassurance is there when you really need it.

Getting matches feels good, let's not lie about that.

4. You might just go on a great date and meet someone nice

And they might end up asking you out again and you might end up in a happy relationship because not all people suck!

5. You might make some pretty cool friends

I have no shame in saying many of my guy friends are just guys I've shot down from Tinder.

6. Tinder Roulette

My roommate last year and I made up this game. Essentially, you get as many people as you can that have a Tinder account. The person in the group who is Tinderless flips a coin. Heads- you swipe right. Tails- you swipe left. If they have a kid you have to ask about them. The person with the MOST matches at the end of the game and the group gets to go through the matches (only the ones from the game) and pick one and message whatever they want. Prepare yourself, it might get ugly.

All in all, if you can make it through the occasional creep messaging you some weird stuff about hooking up, Tinder's a pretty great use of your time if you're bored and need something to swipe on. Don't knock it 'til you try it!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
