You’ve been looking forward to it for weeks. Amid the vast amount of schoolwork, various meetings and other assorted responsibilities, one thing has kept you going: your best friend is coming for the weekend.
It doesn’t matter if you’re living it up in Florida on spring break or sitting on the couch watching a really terrible but somehow hilarious scary movie; you two always have such a great time when you’re together. You’re the dynamic duo no one was ever prepared for. And there are some things that are inevitably going to happen once they arrive.
1. You greet them with the biggest, most dramatic hug possible.
You're just so excited.
2. You then immediately start filling each other in on your life.
They need to know everything.
3. And, in the process, one of you brings up an old memory or inside joke and you can’t help but burst out in your loudest cackle.
They bring out your true laugh.
4. After catching up, you both decide it’s time to get something to eat.
You already know they want Chipotle.
5. You then start to discuss potential plans for the weekend.
You figure it out super quick, because you're pretty much the same person.
6. Once you get back, you start getting ready to go out.
Even though the party you decided on doesn’t start for another three hours.
7. You can barely contain your excitement when you finally go out.
The dynamic duo, back in action!
8. Then begins the lengthy process of introducing your best friend to all your other friends.
But you're not worried because you know everyone will love them.
9. You then take an embarrassing amount of pictures.
It's essential to get the perfect pic.
10. After that, you hit the dance floor.
With synchronized moves, of course.
11. One of you eventually suggests going to get late night food.
Why didn't you say so sooner?!
12. You plan on staying up talking but end up passing out in weird positions.
You'll regret it in the morning.
13. You wake up and do it all again the next day.
Only this time, you schedule a nap session.
14. Sunday finally rolls around and you say a heartfelt good-bye.
You wish they didn't have to leave.
15. You immediately start planning for the next weekend they visit.
It's only a matter of time.
