They say music is timeless. Personally, I agree because music always has a special affect on me. It always takes me back to certain times of my life that I know I will never forget. Each song has different memories with different people at different points in my life that I got to share with them. Even though people drift apart the music allows you to hold on to them in some way.

For me it is that certain song that brings me back to a TV show, movie or any hang out with a friend. The focus of all the nostalgia is usually Disney based. From "The Cheetah Girls", "Kim Possible", "High School Musical", Raven Symone, Hilary Duff, Jonas Brothers, and more.

Here are 18 Disney songs guaranteed to make you nostalgic too.

“Double Dutch Bus” by Raven Symone

Brings me back to watching the movie College Road Trip and watching the scene where Raven's character was trying to make her dad happy by singing their song together while riding on a bus.

"Some Call It Magic" by Raven Symone

The music video shows her waking up and walking through her character on "That's So Raven" and going through every costume she wore while on the show.

"This Is Me" by Demi Lovato (Camp Rock)

This is a song I relate to so much. The song is her character in the movie saying how she was always afraid to show her true self to everyone and now she is no longer afraid to do so.

"Girl Power" by The Cheetah Girls

This song just made me want to the best person I could be. This movie as well as the others are still my favorite. It made me want to be in a girl band and sing. Never happened obviously.

"It's Over" by The Cheetah Girls

This song had such a strong meaning and for the girls to sing it after feeling like they were drifting apart had such power. It made me to never lose my friends, but that was before realizing that people do drift apart.

"The Party's Just Begun" by The Cheetah Girls

This song just brings me to a time where I wanted to have fun.

"We're All In This Together" from High School Musical

We all wanted to do the dance and I'm sure we all did know the dance.

"I Don't Dance" from High School Musical 2

The greatest number in the movie. It shows that they are different but they are trying to say that it's easy if your willing to try.

"Like Whoa" by Aly & AJ

Brings me back to watching "Minutemen" on Disney. Makes me miss the Disney we grew up watching.

"Rush" by Aly & AJ

Hearing this song brings me back to watching "Twitches" and watching Tia and Tamera be in something

"Hasta La Vista" from Camp Rock

Makes me want to just dance and have fun.

"Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King

My favorite song from the movie as well as my favorite movie growing up. It takes me back to another friend of mine and how we would play "Lion King" at her house. We would act as the lions all the time.

 "Kim Possible Theme"

I loved watching this growing up and it brings me back to any friend of mine really. However, one friend of mine and I would always say that we were Kim and Ron; her being Ron and me being Kim.

"The Climb" by Miley Cyrus

Hearing Miley sing this through the years just brings you back to watching her as Hannah Montana.

"Hoedown Throwdown" by Miley Cyrus

I love this song and yes, I do know the dance (don't judge). However, it brings me back to seeing that movie and being in love with it.

"Year 3000" by Jonas Brothers

Hearing them for the first time was great, granted this wasn't the first song I heard. Brings me back to watching "Meet the Robinsons" my boyfriend and I are always reciting the line from the T-rex line about his arms being to small.

"Sneakernight" by Vanessa Hudgens

This song was the first time that I actually realized that she was a singer. I know sounds stupid since she was in High School Musical but it's true.

"Push It To the Limit" by Corbin Bleu

First heard this song while watching the movie "Jump" and after my friend and I kind of made up a dance for it. Every time I hear it I do the dance, yes I still remember it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
