We have officially hit the middle of October at Washington State University. This means midterms are just around the corner. Yes, we should all be studying and cramming everything that we've learned thus far into our brains. However, if you're itching to take a little study break, there's an abundance of throwbacks currently available on Netflix. Here's a list of movies that would take any 90's kid back.
10. Flubber.
Flubber is a classic childhood movie. Robin Williams stars in this 1997 comedy about a professor trying to create a new source of energy. What he ends up discovering is a rubber-like and bouncy substance that he calls Flubber.
9. Freaky Friday. In 2003, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan starred in this Disney film about a mother and daughter switching places. Once the two were forced to switch bodies and see eachother's point of view, it strengthened their relationship and they were able to switch back.
8. Parent TrapAnother Lindsey Lohan classic, Parent Trap is the movie that made every child think that they might have a twin out there in the world. In 1998, this movie was released about twins who were separated at birth, but found each other at summer camp years later.
7. Wayne's WorldIn 1992, Wayne's World was released. The whole movie is bascially about these two slacker friends who try to promote their cable show. Great Mike Myers movie!
6. Chicken RunChicken Run is one of those "classic throwback movies" that you remember watching as a kid but you don't think anyone else watched. Released in 2000, this comedy is all about chickens trying to escape a small farm in England in the 1950's.
5. CluelessIn 1995, Clueless was released to the world. To this day, woman-kind constantly quotes this movie. Alicia Silverstone does a flawless job in this film about rich high school kids and their first-world problems.
4. Jimmy Neutron: Boy GeniusOne of the best Nickelodeon shows of all time, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius was released in 2001. It's about a elementary school boy genius and his friends saving the day when the planet get attacked by aliens.
3.Cool RunningsIn 1993, Cool Runnings was a movie based on the true story of the first Jamaican bobsled team trying to make it to the Winter Olympics. I think we all remember this film because of how Disney constantly replayed it.
One of the true hotties of the 90's, Emilio Estevez stars in this film about a no good lawyer being sentenced to coaching a youth hockey team as part of his community service. The movie was released over 20 years ago!
1. AnnieThis 1982 classic is about a little orphan girl's adventures in finding a family. As kids, when we first saw this movie, we couldn't help but think ... are these my parents? Do I have a Daddy Warbucks waiting for me?
