I go thrift store shopping all the time. There are a plethora of interesting items you can find at any store including things from old electronics to clothes. There is no shortage of useful (and no-useful) items at these stores. Whenever I walk into a second-hand store, there are so many thoughts that run through my head that I could not think of how to properly describe them. So, I recently started watching Saturday Night Live sketches and decided to let them help me! Here are the times when Saturday Night Live perfectly described how I feel in thrift stores!
1. First walking through the doors
2. Seeing the first item that catches your eye
3. Realizing the piece of clothing you wanted doesn't fit
4. Spending hours rummaging through the bargain room
5. That one lady who thinks you're trying to steal her cart
6. Finding a rare video game or cheap electronic
7. Taking it home and finding it doesn't work
8. EVENTUALLY FINDING THE ONE THAT DOES
9. When you see something from across the store and another customer is going for it too
10. Seeing toiletries being sold
11. "Who would buy this?"
12. When your parents call your name throughout the store
13. Checking out with some great finds
I know many people out there go thrift shopping, so send me your thoughts--preferably in Saturday Night Live memes! What are your favorite finds? Do you have any strategies when you go? Let me know everything!
