Being a pre-occupational therapy major is different from being any other major. As a pre-OT major you learn so many different things and so many different topics. You have to learn things such as: anatomy and physiology, neuropsychology, kinesiology, health science, communication, ethics, and chemistry. Occupational therapy is very broad so these are all relevant to the profession. Here are some thoughts pre-OT majors have while they are are struggling through classes:
1. Why doesn't anyone know what occupational therapists do?
2. Why do I need this class?
3. We have to learn this again? I didn't understand it the first time.
4. Really we have to learn every single muscle, bone, joint, and ligament in the body?
5.Why do all my classes need to be so hard?
6. Why do we have required, mandatory Friday classes?
7. Why aren't there any guys in my class?
8. Why do my exams have to be so hard?
9. Why don't my professors just give me study guides?
10. Why are all my classes all just exams?
">

11. Let's go spend more time in the library because you know I'm not there enough already.
12. Can I just not study today?
13. Do I ever get a break?
14. I hope my friends know that I'm not lame, life is just hard.
15. Life is stressful, can I change my major yet?
These are all thoughts that pre-OT majors have throughout their college career. Pre-OT is a hard major that shouldn't be taken lightly, but it will be worth it in the end.
