Thoughts Everyone Has At Disney World

What goes on at the most magical place on Earth?

Thoughts Everyone Has At Disney World
Kelsey Neeley

Being a Florida girl, I have had my fair share of experiences at Disney World. Here are just a few thoughts I have when walking through the most magical place on earth.

1. "So. Many. People."

Where did everyone come from? Never have I seen more people in one place at a time. It's kind of beautiful how Disney brings thousands upon thousands of people from around the world into one place.

2. "There are strollers everywhere!"

It is quite a sight to see hundreds of strollers parked around the park. I feel out of place by not having one.

3. "I love fan-girling over Disney characters."

"Is that Donald Duck? OMG! OMG!" It's all over when the one and only Mickey Mouse is spotted. I may or may not have a signature book for Disney characters.

4. "Why are there so many crying children?"

"Why are you crying? You are at Disney World; you should be happy."

5. "This place is bigger than I remember."

Disney World consists of six parks not including Disney Springs (downtown). It takes days to fully explore the parks. I still get lost to this day at Magic Kingdom. Disney world is the size of San Francisco.

6. "I wonder where they are from."

I love to try to guess where people around me are visiting from. Everywhere I turn, there is a family speaking a different language. How cool is it that we can all share Disney with each other?

7. " I wish I could still dress up as Cinderella."

The little girls and boys dressed up as Disney princesses and princes are the most adorable thing. Maybe I'll wear this here tiara, just for the sake of it.

8. "Poor fathers."

I have pity for the dads who are stuck watching the stroller and holding the bags. They want their wishes to come true too!

9. "How many things can you put a pair of mickey ears on?"

There is an overwhelming amount of Disney merchandise out there. You can buy everything from shoes and jewelry to kitchenware marked by Mickey ears.

10. "FastPasses are a blessing."

Anyone who has been to Disney World knows the struggle of standing in a two-hour line for a ride. FastPasses have kept me sane these past few years. Although sometimes, even the FastPass line can be long.

11. "Look at all the matching T-shirts!"

I love to see matching Disney-themed shirts; each design is unique to the family. There is always that one kid who is obviously not amused by wearing it.

12. "Do you really have to go into every store?"

There is a plethora of stores scattered throughout all of the parks. It blows my mind that someone would haul all of that stuff around for the day.

13. "Why would I pay that much?"

Like most amusement parks, everything seems to be overpriced. Although right after I complain about the prices, I promptly buy Mickey Mouse ice cream. Live it up at Disney!

14. "The magic never fades."

Every time I go to Disney World, I get the same butterflies I did when I first walked up to the castle. This place never gets old, and it brings out the kid in everyone.

Disney is by far the best place on earth, if you haven't gone and experienced the magic, then please do. I have had the pleasure to write about one of my favorite places. Now excuse me while I go say hello to my dear friend Mickey Mouse!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
