Halfway there!

Thoughts You Have Before Starting Junior Year Of College

Class of 2018, we made it. We are halfway through our time in college and that is either amazing or terrifying, depending on the way you look at it. We are officially upperclassmen. We have two more years left in school, which means we only have two more years left to do reckless things and blame it on #college.

So, here are a few thoughts we've shared going into the most important year of our lives:

1. I made it.You're halfway up the food chain and life at the top has never felt so good. The world is your oyster and these next two years are going to be what you make of it.

2. How did I get here?

You might be wondering how you've already a junior in college...or you may be wondering how you got home after last night. Either way, it's crazy to think that we've gotten this old this fast. Now pick yourself up off the floor, eat some bread and get ready for the best years of your life.

3. Take me back.

You're most likely feeling pretty nostalgic right now. You're reminiscing on your freshman year dorm and remembering the days when the only thing that mattered was whether or not you had ratio to get into a party, or enough meal swipes left at the end of the semester.

4. How do I adult? The adult world is approaching. You're right on the cusp of full on adulthood and if that isn't terrifying, I don't know what is. You're trying to figure out your future and it's safe to say that any life-altering decisions you're being asked to make at 20 years old are not good. So keep on making bad choices until a real adult yells at you.

5. I'm forever unemployed.

You've already been rejected from every internship you've applied to so far because you don't have enough experience. But how are you supposed to get experience if no one hires you to begin with?

6. My future is so bright.

Sometimes. You realize that these two years are going to be the best of your life but you're also unemployed and drowning in debt because student loans are devastating.

7. I'm invincible.

Nothing can take you down from that upperclassman high you've been floating on for the past semester. Well, except your GPA. That might drag you down a little.

8. This is the year I get a 4.0.

But then again, the nights you'll want to remember aren't the ones spent in the library.

9. "I'm going to eat better"

You say as you wait in line at WaWa with a bag of Skittles in one hand and an orange soda in the other.

10. I will dominate this year.

And you will. This is your time to shine. From this point on, time moves quicker. Enjoy every second of this year. Embrace every hardship that comes your way and learn from every mistake you make. Life for the great moments and strive to create unforgettable memories. Junior year is going to be a great one, so its time load up on Red Bull and make more questionable decisions that you will won't regret.
