19 Thoughts Seniors Have During Their Last Semester As Told By Leslie Knope

Apparently I'm graduating in four months and I don’t feel as though I’m ready to be thrown to the wolves yet. I remember being in high school and thinking I had plenty of time to mature and feel well equiped to enter the world of adulthood, but that didn't happen. I try not to think about it as much as possible but a few questions and thoughts often come up. Leslie Knope knows exactly how we're feeling.

1. Can I hit the restart button yet?

2. How am I considered an adult?

3. I'm not ready to live alone.

4. What are things adults do for fun?

5. Where did the last four years go?

6. Is it no longer acceptable to watch Disney movies for fun?

7. How do I apply for health insurance?

8. How many times a day can I call my mom when I have questions?

9. I'm supposed to pay for my own food?

10. Does this mean my mom can't come with me to doctors appointments anymore?

11. Does this mean I can't have sleepovers with my bffs anymore?

12. Will my parents kick me off of their family phone plan before I have my own family?

13. How am I supposed to get access to my friends' closets when they don't live with me and I need a rockin' outfit?

14. Why can't all my friends live in the same neighborhood/state as me?

15. When are my drinking habits considered a problem?

16. I hope my colleauges will take me seriously.

17. Now that I'm a grown up and I still don't know what I want to be, is that a problem?

18. How many vacation days am I going to get a year?

19. I wish everything would just slow down.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
