Senioritis is real, and so are the other myths about one's second semester of college. Here are my first thoughts as I begin the last semester of my undergraduate experience:
1. "This is the last time I will have to buy textbooks."
2. Also the last syllabus day I will ever have.
3. "Has the campus always been this beautiful? I’m going to miss it when I’m gone."
4. "I will never have to buy another pass for campus parking."
5. When your friends talk about their plans for next semester, then you realize there is no “next semester” for you.
6. The moment you realize graduation is 5 months away.
7. You begin to blame mishaps on having senioritis.
8. You begin to blame everything on having senioritis.
9. You suddenly have the urge to participate in every campus event you’ve skipped for the last four or more years.
10. You realize you have to move within the next six months for graduate school or work.
11. Your days of qualifying for a student discount or numbered.
12. You realize there is a lot more you need to learn before graduation, both in and out the classroom.
