Pregnancy is a magical time! There are many changes taking place physically, mentally, and emotionally. People often ask me how I'm feeling, but I've seldom been asked what I'm thinking. In case you were wondering, here are some of my most common pregnant thoughts!

1. There is an actual human growing inside of me!

2. What a miracle!

3. It’s also kind of weird.

4. Miraculous, but definitely weird.

5. I think I have to pee.

6. Hmm, what should I eat for breakfast?

7. Can’t eat that, I get heartburn.

8. Can’t eat that, it makes me nauseous.

9. Can’t drink that, no caffeine.

10. Ugh.

11. I just felt her kick!

12. Wow, she’s super strong.

13. Can she kick anything important in there?

14. How close is she to my vital organs?

15. Is she near my kidneys?

16. Where even are my kidneys?

17. Please let this child be smarter than me.

18. I wonder what she will look like…

19. I hope she isn’t ugly.

20. That’s awful, I shouldn’t think that.

21. All babies are beautiful!

22. Well, not ALL babies…

23. Continues to hope future baby is not ugly.

24. Do I actually have to pee or is it just the baby pushing on my bladder?

25. I’m going to pee just to be safe.

26. My stomach looks so funny.

27. My belly button is all distorted!

28. That goes back, right?

29. RIGHT?!

30. How much of this is the baby and how much is just me getting fat?

31. I should probably stop eating so much ice cream.

32. Oh my god, ice cream.

33. Ice cream sounds wonderful right now.

34. I’m going to eat some ice cream.

35. I have to pee again.

36. Time to get dressed!

37. Let’s see what still fits…

38. Ooh, this shirt really shows off my baby belly!

39. But then people will want to touch my stomach.

40. I’m going to wear my frumpy sweater instead.

41. I should pee before I leave.

42. Seat-belts and baby bellies do not mix well.

43. Why is getting out of a car so difficult now?

44. Sees child having tantrum.

45. My child is NEVER going to do that.

46. Oh god, my child is totally going to do that.

47. Panic.

48. Let’s go look at baby clothes!

49. After I pee again.

50. Awe, these are so tiny and precious!

51. I can’t believe I’m going to have a little person tiny enough to fit into these.

52. I can’t wait to meet her.

53. I love her so, so, so much.

54. I have next to no idea what I’m doing.

55. But I’m so excited to be her mommy.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
