41 Thoughts You Might Have While Packing For Spring Break

Whether you're spending time at home with your family, vacationing on the beach, or having adventures elsewhere, we can all agree: packing is stressful. Even if you're a packing pro and can get it done ten minutes before it's time to leave, it's the one part of break everyone hate. Between midterms, saying goodbye to friends, making travel plans, and cleaning your dorm so you don't come back to a pigsty, powering through packing can be like trudging through mud right before the finish line. Fear not, though; before you know it, you'll be reveling in the joys of non-cafeteria food, snuggles with sorely missed pets, and turning off the alarm for your 8 a.m. that you forgot to disable before going back to sleep til noon. Happy spring break!

1. I'm leaving in a few days, I should probably start packing.

2. Okay, I'm leaving tomorrow. Time to pack.

3. Leaving in an hour? Challenge accepted.

4. Man, when's the last time I cleaned my room? I can't find anything in this mess.

5. I should put on music.

6. No, not this music.

7. Better check the weather forecast so I know what clothes I can wear.

8. I never wear this, but I might if I bring it home.

9. Maybe if I bring my sneakers, I'll actually work out.

10. Did I forget to empty the fridge?

11. I should probably vacuum before leaving.

12. Should I bring my linens home to wash?

13. This break will be a great time to catch up on homework. Better bring it all.

14. I will fit all of this into one suitcase.

15. I'll take the garbage out now so I don't forget before I leave.

16. Shoot, now I have more garbage.

17. Do I want these shoes or these shoes?

18. Better bring both.

19. I should say goodbye to my friends.

20. Wait, never mind, they all left.

21. Did I use up all my meal swipes?

22. I'm so excited for homemade food.

23. I can definitely bring all of this out in one trip.

24. Should I bring going out clothes? Do I even go out when I'm home?

25. Do I have to go to my last class?

26. Am I really going to wear this?

27. Did I leave those pants at home?

28. If I bring my laundry, I don't have to pay to do it.

29. Am I forgetting anything?

30. Eh, I guess I'll bring a razor.

31. Can't forget to lock the door.

32. Oh, wait, I need my phone charger.

33. This will definitely all fit in the car.

34. Did I over-pack? I feel like I over-packed.

35. Seriously, what did I forget?

36. No, okay, I definitely have everything.

37. I should stop for coffee on the way.

38. I hope traffic isn't too bad.

39. Wait, I have to pee before leaving.

40. Off we go!
41. Shoot, I forgot my toothbrush.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
