I'm not that frequent of a traveler, but as I'm typing this, I am 45,000 feet above the ground! Let that sink in. I'm on my way to Utah for a week for a dairy science conference. Most people would be constantly worried about their trip, but I am not. I know that as I look out over the western sky, God is there. I'm not able to attend church this morning but I assure you, seeing what God has created from this altitude is definitely church enough!
The point of his article is just to inspire you to travel more and live more freely. There is a whole world out there of pure awesomeness. Be the person you want to be and be the change in the world you want to see. The world isn't going to wait for you and you're not getting any younger, so go enjoy it! Today I will travel to the farthest west I have ever been and in two weeks I'll travel to the farthest south I'll ever be, South Africa. I'm sitting beside two of my good friends and we are on this flight for 3 hours. Up here, you don't have to worry about what's going on down below. There are no politics in the site and nobody is worried about offending anyone.
I just can't help but ask myself why that is. Is it because everyone is just tired or is it because they see the same thing I do when I look out the window? I don't know, and I shall never know but what I do know is traveling frequently is an experience in itself! Seeing the world is a gift that each and everyone of us should embrace and take part in. If you're from the east coast, go to the west and vice versa! There are always a new sights to see and new explorations to be had. Go on that road trip with your fraternity brothers or sorority sisters. Start a collection of postcards or shot glasses of where you've been. It may be expensive to travel but in order to want to change the world, you have to make the first move.
The world is yours, and it is waiting for you! Now, go pack that bag. It's time to leave your house. Leave all of your thoughts and worries behind and go explore! There is so much to see and so much to do. When you think about it, there's so little time to do it in. Live everyday like its your last and travel like a gypsy! Always be great full for what you have, plan to have and are achieving. Take pictures, make a scrapbook or even write a blog. Just go see the world! In order for you to see the world for its beauty and not all of the drama that's happening, you have to see it for yourself, with your own eyes!
