Honestly, being at college for a few months and then, thrown back home is really bizarre. In general, being at home can trick you into thinking you've never even left for college and can cause a major identity crisis. Once you remind yourself that you're not in high school anymore, you have to try to catch up on all the changes that have happened since you've been away. Here's a list of all the confused thoughts we have when we're home from college on break:
1. When your house is painted blue - Didn't our house used to be yellow?2. When your car isn't in your driveway because your parents sold it - Where is my car???
3. When you wake up at 10 A.M. on a Monday and forget you're not in high school anymore - Wow, I'm so late. Why didn't my alarm go off?
4. When your mom tells you that they tore down your favorite breakfast place - What does she mean by "tore down"?
5. When you forget that your little sister actually continues to age even when you're away at college - Wait you're 16 now? I thought you were still 12?
6. When you accidentally go through a new stop sign - Where did that come from? Who put that there?
7. When your ex-boyfriend doesn't text you that day - Why hasn't (insert your ex's name) texted me? ... Oh yea, it's because we broke up.
8. When your high s
chool football team wins - Of course they're good after we graduate.
9. When you see a boy that was a freshman when you were a senior - Whoa, that boy used to look like a 5-year-old and now, he's actually a hairy man.
10. When you see a girl that was a senior when you were a freshman - Is that a baby in her stomach?
11. When you go to a party - Wow, everyone's so fat.
12. When you check your bank account - Ok, how am I going to trick my parents into giving me money? ....
13. When your mom tells you that you're not allowed to come home the next break because they have plans - Honestly, am I the only one who has no life?
