Going to the gym is the definition of a love/hate relationship. It's a process. Do people actually enjoy going? Not only do you have to leave your house and put a bra on, but then after you get home, you have to shower and add more clothes to your dirty laundry pile. It takes time from your day – it's almost 2016, why can't we just order a healthy/fit body online? Regardless, most people do go to the gym and I don't know about you, but these thoughts cross my mind every time I go.

1. "This is ridiculous. This is torture. Why am I here?"

2. "I hope I don't see anyone I know."

3. "How do I use this machine? I think I'll wait for someone else to use it so I can watch. There's so many people here. I don't want to look stupid."

4. "My phone is on less than 15 percent. What am I going to do if it dies? Why didn't I charge it? How do I work out if I can't listen to music and stalk people on social media?"

5. "Spring Break, Spring Break...I'm going to look great, keep running. Spring Break body, here I come."

6. "Since I'm working out, I can get a Big Mac after this...right?"

7. "I can't breathe! Someone help! I can't do this anymore. Why does time go by more slowly when you're on a treadmill?!"

8. "How is this grandma running faster than me? How does she run on 5.6? I can't go faster than 4...I wonder if she comes in everyday? How am I sweating more than her?"

9. "I am so sweaty. I'm leaving sweat marks on every machine. Sorry people. Ew, are people leaving their sweaty germs on all the machines too?"

10. "I'm going to have to cut this sports bra off, I'm so sweaty."

11. "Am I skinny yet? I just did 15 crunches and ran for 30 minutes...Should I cut my fat off? Why is this not working?"

12. "I'm too hungover to be here. Why did I drunkenly eat that whole pizza last night? I'm going to puke."

13. "Why does that girl look like she's going to prom? I don't trust girls who come to the gym with their hair and make-up done. I look like a mess...She's looking at me...I wonder if she's judging me too."

14. "Is everyone in here holding in a fart right now or is it just me?"

15. "Squatting is complete torture. My back hurts, my whole body hurts. I hope I'm doing this right. The butt, I need the butt."

16. "I got here 20 minutes ago, will the workers judge me if I leave already? What if they make a comment? I need an excuse...actually I can run out when they're not looking. Good plan, god, I'm so smart."

17. "Ugh, I can't skip tomorrow. I need this. Victoria Secret Fashion show, here I come. I am going to look great, every boy is going to want me."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
