As I pack up my room, take my final tests, and return my books, I can’t help but think about everything that has happened in the last two years. It doesn’t even seem like it’s been that long since I graduated high school and was thinking about going to college. At that point in time, I had a vague notion of what college would be like, but, for the most part, I was still nervously anticipating the unknown.
And now I suddenly find myself at the halfway point in my college career. I don’t know how it’s possible that my first two years of college are already over and done with, but here I am, regardless. So far, it has been a fantastic ride and I’m looking forward to my last two years. But at the same time, it makes me realize that if these last couple years flew by that quickly, the second half will be gone in a blink of an eye as well.
All of these thoughts naturally lead me to develop a little bit of advice, and I think it’s relevant no matter if you’re getting ready to start college or are nearing the end. The biggest thing I can say is to enjoy yourself. I know that I’m going to be working super hard the next two years, but I’m also going to be having a good time while I’m at it. College really is some of the best years of your life, and I’m excited to continue making memories and lifelong friends along the way.
