Ready or not, here they come.
Finals week is quickly approaching us. It is a week that is dreaded for all students near and far. Christmas is consuming our minds, and the last thing we want to think about is the finals that we are going to have to face. As students, we will do anything in our power to just get through finals week in one piece. May the odds be ever in your favor. Here are 10 things all students are most likely thinking during finals week:
1. Is this final cumulative?
This is the one question that is most popular during the season of finals. Nothing is scarier than finding out that your final exam is going to be cumulative. How are we supposed to recall key terms from day 1 of class when I can barely remember what I ate for dinner last night?
2. Is there going to be a study guide?
Yes, this is college, but study guides are important no matter what year of school you are in. Without study guides, studying would be all the more stressful because you wouldn’t even know where to begin.
3. Thank God for coffee!
Coffee is your best friend during finals week. I already drink so much coffee on a regular basis, but during finals week it is so important because without coffee how are you supposed to stay awake and focused?
4. Can I just take a nap?
Just like coffee, naps are vital during finals week. You would need to make up somehow for all the sleep you are missing at night.
Plus, what is more, relaxing than taking a break and squeezing in a nap.5. Why do I have class still?
How am I supposed to go to class and sit through a lecture patiently while knowing that I have exams to study for?
6. Is there even a chance I will pass statistics class?
Let's see, probably not. Nothing is worse than having a borderline grade, and a teacher that isn’t willing to help you. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that you might have to take the class again.
7. Can we just skip right to Christmas?
No one wants to take finals when they know that Christmas is in a few weeks. Christmas cheer is quickly ruined by the thought of all the finals that are in the way of you and Christmas.
8. What is a social life?
Chances are, during exam week the only people you will only be seeing are your roommates. All your time is slowly starting to be consumed by studying for finals, and if you are lucky you will be able to take a 10-minute break just to catch up with the people you haven’t seen in a few days.
9. I need ice cream.
I find myself saying this a lot on a daily basis. It doesn’t need to be finals week to have a need for ice cream, but ice cream definitely will help with the stress that finals bring upon us.
10. Finally, I get to go home.
Finals week is over, and it is time to go home for a few weeks and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
