It is back to school time! College students will inevitably have these thoughts as they prepare for the semester.
1. You have mixed feelings about reducing your hours at work.
Even if you don't like being there, you love that nice check. "Goodbye beautiful fat paycheck."
2. You swear Dr. What'sHerFace chose the most expensive textbook ever written just because she could.
"Seriously, that book is not printed on gold with gems dotting every i; that price tag just seems a little high."
3. You will get increasingly more aggravated the longer it takes for the financial aid office to process your aid.
"Just take the money; it doesn't have to be this difficult."
4. The price of your meal plan will make you consider going hunting and foraging for your own food.
"I'm definitely being overcharged."
5. Your anger will only grow when you see the price of parking passes.
"Why should I have to pay to park here? I'm paying tuition."
6. You will be super excited when your aid comes through and pays the for everything (hopefully).
"Finally!"
7. However, that joy will be short lived as soon as you remember that the financial aid did require another loan.
It's not like the job market is overflooded with people or anything.
8. You will try really hard to get an on-campus job that allows you to study while you're at work.
You'll also learn that almost every other student at your university will apply for these positions.
9. You will be extremely bitter when syllabi are not posted yet.
"Well if you'd just post your syllabus, I'd check to see if I'm really going to need that $200 textbook."
10. Since the university is taking all your money, you will consider making some money by illegal means, obtaining a sugar mommy/daddy or just stripping. (Maybe all of the above.)
We have all been there.
