Dealing With Drama Even When You're In College

Like many of us, we all believe that once we have finished high school the drama will just diminish; however, even in college there will always be that one person known as a punisher. A punisher is a person who feeds off drama, lives to create it and gets excited by it. This person, even in college, starts the dreaded situation of drama. Being in college brings a whole new side to immaturity. Most of us just want to get through the next four years peacefully and with a 3.0 or higher, hopefully. The punisher though wants to come in every day and make the entire day miserable for everyone else. They talk bad about others, act so nice when you're around and are always striving for the attention they believe they need. When in an environment with this person, you tend to be shocked by the majority of the things they do on a day to day basis. They start fights, bad mouth fellow students and professors, make up an abundance of lies and some even go further than that.

So, how does one deal with a punisher? It will not, I repeat, will not be easy whatsoever. You are going to want to battle, stand up for the people they have been talking bad about, and try your hardest to help them. Being in a situation like this just last week, I learned the most valuable lesson ever when dealing with drama. Stand up for what you believe in your heart is right, do not sit back and let them drag you down too, do not put yourself in an environment with them. When in a situation like this, kill them with kindness, do not their choices and words overcome you. They feed off of your reaction the best thing you can do here is to not let them see a reaction out of you. They are not worth it, karma is a dangerous beast and it will get around to them quicker than most believe.

Stay focused on you, succeed in school, and surround yourself with others who boost you up rather than being drug down the drain with the punisher. In the end, you will come out on top and they will regret being so terrible to others. Why do I believe so strongly in this? Because after being in this situation I learned, taking the high road, keeping my mouth shut even when its hard and staying focused on me is most important. They are just one of the many people I'll encounter in this world, so I refuse to be caught up in a downhill slide with a punisher and you should too.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
