Atlanta has so much to offer its inhabitants. When the weather changes from unpleasant winter gloom to awakening spring warmth, Atlanta's events transfer from indoors to outdoors, and the city's people gather to celebrate.
One of my favorite annual festivals, Atlanta's Dogwood Festival, takes place this coming weekend, April 10–12, in the heart of the city — Piedmont Park. The festival hosts hundreds of artists every year to exhibit and sell their work. The festival's collection of unique fine arts includes paintings, sculptures, pottery, jewelry, photography, mixed media and more.
Alongside the individual artists' tents, you can find delicious food, live music and an assortment of entertainment.
If you've been to Atlanta's Dogwood Festival before, I hope you're looking forward to another year, like I am. And, if you've never been , I encourage you to attend this year and try something new. It's a great way to take a break from the stress of school and enjoy Atlanta's beautiful people and fresh air.
Hope to see you there.
