So you put a lot of time and effort in and they just tossed you to the curb. I know that you don't want to give up. You're attached now. Giving up looks scary. Giving up sounds wrong. But sometimes giving up is okay because it means you're choosing yourself. You can't waste time on people who don't care about you because you're going to look back and regret not taking the chances you passed by. You get one life. Don't let people who suck control it. You're worth so much more than ignored text messages and feeling worthless. So don't let people who make you feel worthless define you. Don't let them win.

I know when you look at them, you're hoping they'll change their mind. But to them this is just a game because they don't care. They have no feelings or emotions involved. They're trying to play you. They're trying to bring you down and leave you feeling lonely and worthless without them, when in reality you're feeling lonely and worthless with them. Funny how that works, they convince you that without them you're incomplete so you wait around and give them all of you when you should be giving all of you to yourself and no one else but yourself. Well now it's time to stand up for yourself. Don't let them win.

I know it seems a little far fetched right now, but you can be whole without them. It took me a long time to learn that, but you can be whole by yourself, and with your friends. You don't need self centered people to complete you, so don't let them convince you you do. You're better and stronger than that. Don't give them the power to control your worth. Only you should be able to determine your worth. No one else. I know that the thought of letting go is scary, but trust me you can do it, and you'll feel so much better once you do. Don't let them win.

You are a perfect ray of sunshine all by yourself, you deserve someone who helps you light up your sky, not someone who comes and turns it to grey. So start looking at life like an endless ocean of possibility instead of an empty sea of lost hope. Don't let them win.

You only have one shot at this game called life, don't waste it waiting on someone who can't decide if you're good enough. Because you are enough. You're so enough. And just because you can't see that right now doesn't mean it's not true. It's the absolute truth. Start believing it, and start believing in yourself.
