When You Give a Babysitter A Kid

Babysitting is the most popular job for girls or boys still in school, and one of the easiest ways to make money. Who doesn't want to play like a little kid again and get paid to do it? Boy or Girl Toddler or teenager there's nothing like the relationship formed between a babysitter and their child.

You get to learn firsthand what it's like to be a mommy or daddy.

Your hugs are the hugs they want when they are feeling sad.

"Cooking" them a meal whether it's just a PB&J or a kiddie cuisine you feel like a master chief when they say how yummy it is.

Tucking them in for a nap and reading them a book until they fall asleep in your arms becomes the best part of your day.

Watching Disney channel every morning becomes such a habit you turn it on at home.

Swimming lessons are not fun, and if you make them go they will enjoy every second of it.

They will then ask to go swimming later so you can see their new tricks.

Water balloons will surely be the cause of your arthritis when you get older.

Watching them grow into little amazing people is the best thing in the world.

Some days you feel like actually sitting on the child then, to your relief, it's nap-time.

No matter how big the mess is y'all make you don't mind cleaning it up because you know there are memories being made.

Worried about staying in shape this summer? Babysit!

The longer you let them play outside the easier it is to get them to nap.

"momma let's me do it all the time" is more than likely a lie!

They become "your kids" and amaze you everyday.

Telling them "no" is the hardest part, but you feel so "adult" when you can finally do it with a serious face.

You will be the "meanest person in the world" and their hero in a whole five minutes.

I've been given the " Oh look it's another teen mom" look so many times. I just politely yell I'm babysitting!

The best kids are the ones who notice when you're having a bad day and make it better with laughs and hugs.

The money isn't what makes you come back; it's the child(ren).

Waking up early and playing all day gives you the best good night sleep.

Babysitting one kid at a time is easier because you only have one child seeking all of your attention.

Babysitting multiples at a time can be challenging, but there is definitely never enough room in one chair.

"Sophia the first"s theme song will forever play over and over in my head.

Selfies are their favorite, but only when they take them with "silly faces" and include you in them too.

Everything they have " you're gonna love, just wait till you see it!"

You have to save every bug in the pool then squish them before they "get you".

You always have their honest opinion whether it's " is there a baby in that big ole belly" or " Your hair smells so good".

They help you grow as a person, and vice versa.

You learn which parenting ways are most effective, and by the time you babysit for at least five families you have the perfect plan.

You realize you have your whole life ahead of you, and if you ever get the "baby fever" all you have to do is call a momma.

Babysitting has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I have learned how to work for my money, cook, clean, and definitely multitask. I have a greater appreciation for my parents, and babysitters when I was growing up. I get to be a nurse, chief, momma, tech support, lifeguard, veterinarian, taxi driver, and karaoke star all in one day. Thank you parents for trusting me with your child(ren), and buying the coolest toys for us to play with.Thank you child(ren) for making my days full of life, and always keeping it real. This ones for you!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
