Since I came to college, I've realized that food has become an even bigger part of my life than it was before. Transitioning from home-cooked meals every night courtesy of mom and dad to less-than-stellar dining hall food has really made me appreciate the good stuff. I'm talking about the food that looks so good you wish you were the food.

Here are just a few of my favorite foods that or may not be prettier than you.

This strawberry.

Now this perfectly dipped marshmallow covered strawberry makes my mouth water just looking at it. If all fruit looked like this, I might eat it more often.

The most delicious looking ice cream ever.

This ice cream could stop traffic on a hot summer day. It doesn't get much better, or more chocolate-y, than this baby right here.

My personal favorite, pulled pork.

This food is my weakness and makes me hate my parents for making me live up north. Let's just say that I would die happy drowning in BBQ sauce. Sometimes I feel like this sandwich has nicer buns than I do.

Mac and cheese from the gods.

Mac and cheese tastes like happiness and love. Smothered in cheese and bacon, I would kill to be those noodles. I don't even know if any of my boyfriends have ever been this cheesy.

Death by chocolate cake.

If someone asked who was prettier, this cake or Mila Kunis, the cake would definitely win.

The most perfect looking cheese fries in the history of the world.

Everyone has their middle-of-the-night cravings that they would kill for, and these would be mine. If you're from the northern Midwest, you know there is no better place than Portillos for these babies. I wouldn't drive 10 minutes away late at night for a guy. But I would drive a lot further and a lot later in the night for a bite of those fries.

These foods are only a few of many delicious treats this world holds. If your self esteem fell a little bit, keep your head up. Because you know what's better than food being prettier than you? Getting to eat it.
