I often find myself awake in the middle of the night, while my fur child is running laps around my bedroom and I just think to myself... "Why?"

So many people nowadays, college-aged or otherwise, own a pet. Obviously, the most popular animals you see are dogs and cats. I own a kitten, her name is Daisy and she is the best.

Seriously, I will fight you if you disagree with me.

Recently, I've found myself repeating some phrases. And I've also seen on social media that other people think the same way and hold pretty much the exact same or slightly altered one-sided conversations with their fur-baby.

Like these:

1. Let. Me. Sleep.

Like, it's four in the morning. Let me go back to sleep, I don't want to play with you. You don't need food right now. Stop chewing my hair.

2. Can you not? 

You looked me dead in the eye and did the thing I specifically told you not to do. Like... can you not?

3. Are you comfortable like that?

Animals are known to place themselves in very odd positions. Whenever I find Daisy in one of them, the only thing I can ever ask anymore is: "Are you comfortable???"

4. I literally just bought that and you already destroyed it. 

How rude.

5. You can't eat this, you won't like it. 

Mother knows best.

6. What are you chewing on?

Please don't swallow it. Please don't swallow it. Please don't swallow it.

7. Why are you like this?

You're actually the dumbest. No other cat/dog/other but you would get themselves into this situation.

8.  *Pats down next to self* Come snuggle.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this. I need that kind of reassurance in my life.
