We may or may not all know what it is like to live with multiple roommates, but let me just tell you, it's interesting. So here's a few things you only understand if you live in a suite/apartment with multiple roommates:
- Someone eating your last pop tart while you aren't in the suite and then texting you to pick up more because "they" ran out.
- Waking up to your suite mates singing and dancing to the same song that you have had stuck in your head all day (mainly from them doing it yesterday).
- Always having someone who is down to go to the dining hall and chow down.
- Having eight closets worth of clothes instead of just one. (A major plus when you are going somewhere and just can't figure out what to wear!)
- Always having a multitude of nail polish colors to choose from and having someone to help you paint them.
- Having a certain shower and nap buddy because your schedules just work out that way.
- When one of you gets sick, the rest of you stock up on Emergen-C and Lysol because we all know the plague is coming for its next victim.
- Having dance parties at least twice a day to shake off the stress and frustration of college life.
- Deciding to leave campus late Sunday night and get pizza because there's a deal going on and no one wants to walk to the dining hall for gross pizza.
- When one mom comes for a visit, we all instantly start calling her mom and feel right at home with her and her cooking.
- Having a group chat (probably called "Fam") where you constantly ask people you let you in because you forgot/lost your key again.
- AND, most importantly, having a group of best friends that you know you can always count on to cheer you up and be there for you. Thank you to my suite mates for keeping me smiling and on my toes, I love you girls.
