If you're lucky in life then you'll be blessed with having the greatest friends. Sometimes you can't live with them, but you could never imagine living without them. Through thick and thin you hope they'll always remain because they're the ones that help make your world go round. The reasons to be thankful for them could be endless, but here's a list of the top 12 reasons to be thankful for friends:

1. Thank you for always giving me a reason to laugh

Whether you're laughing about a meme you saw on Twitter or one of you being clumsy, always laughing together is something to truly appreciate. Laughter really is the best medicine, and being around your friends makes you realize that. BONUS: if they make you laugh enough you'll feel like you're getting an ab workout in.

2. Thank you for listening to me

Doesn't matter what time it is or what they're doing, you know you can always rely on them to listen to you. It could be the twelfth time you've told them the story about wearing two different shoes out, or you and Johnny got in another argument and you're seeking advice. Sometimes you just want to call and tell them about about the cute dog you saw on your way home from the grocery store.. it doesn't matter what the situation is because they're all ears for you.

3. Thank you for being my rock

When you need someone to lean on you know they'll be there. They'll lift you up when you're down and tell you to keep going. They will make sure you realize that everything will be okay, and they'll tell you everything will be okay until you believe it yourself. They'll tell you when you need to pull yourself together even if it's not what you want to hear. They keep you grounded and for that you're so lucky.

4. Thank you for having good taste in music

You swore you'd never listen to that dumb band everyone is obsessed with, but because of them you're now their #1 fan. You share Spotify playlists because you just can't get enough of that song they were playing while they were in the shower. Because of them you're variety in music has greatly expanded.

5. Thank you for always pushing me to do my best

Their encouraging words really make you feel like you can achieve anything whether you believe in yourself or not. They know you have the potential to shine, and they want to make sure that you do. Without them you question how far your lack of motivation would really get you.

6. Thank you for your support

Whatever you're doing they will 100% support you. If you're trying to finish your Bath & Body Works candle collection or you have the determination on becoming Beyonce's next backup singer, they'll be right by your side the entire step of the way.

7. Thank you for wiping away my tears

If you're crying from Derek Shepherd's death or crying because of a heartbreak, you know they'll be the ones there to provide the tissues. Sometimes the two of you will cry together and that's when you know the friendship is real. You couldn't imagine having a friend that doesn't wipe away your tears.

8. Thank you for loving food as much as I do

Chipotle, Sheetz, Cold Stone.. you name it and they love it just as much as you. When you're really craving buffalo chicken dip for the fourth night in a row you know they probably are too. Food is the thing you guys always talk about, and you're constantly tagging each other in delicious recipe Facebook posts.

9. Thank you for not judging me

They've seen you at your best and at your worst, but none of that matters. All of the crazy stories you tell them, or those way too many air-headed moments you have and they've never once judged you.

10. Thank you for the spontaneous adventures

Everyday they always want to go somewhere you'd never expect at the most random times. They'll ask if you're down to go to New York on Friday, Florida on Saturday, and Vegas on Sunday just for the fun of it. It's never a dull moment between you two no matter what you do or where you're going.

11. Thank you for giving me memories to always remember

You'll never forget the 2 AM conversations or all of the times you went out when you should've stayed in to study. The silliest things end up being you're favorite memories with them that you'll be talking about for years.

12. Thank you for showing me what real friendship is

Everything you've been through only makes your friendship stronger. You've learned so much from them, and they've learned so much from you. Every single day you're thankful to have the friendships you do. They're there when you need them the most, and the thought of having them puts a smile on your face. You are who you are partially because of them, and you could never thank them enough.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
