31 Things To Thank My Parents For (As If That's Enough)
Katie DeFreitas

1. Loving me on my darkest days...I'm hard to love when I am screaming.

2. Giving me my built in best friends…my sisters are the best things in my life.

3. Wiping my tears when no one else will...what am I saying, I always come to you first.

4. Supporting me in everything I do…everyday.

5. Being at all of my athletic events…even when they are plane rides away.

6. Giving me the greatest of grandparents...they raised you well.

7. Letting me get an education…even when it is worth way too much.

8. Buying us dogs…they are the best cuddlers around.

9. Laying in my bed when I had a nightmare…wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to rub my back.

10. Staying up until ungodly hours just to make sure I get home safely…sorry about those nights.

11. Cleaning my diapers when I was younger…don’t feed me that much next time.

12. Teaching me how to drive…sorry I ran into the garage that one time.

13. Getting mad at me when I do wrong…it helps me learn from my worst mistakes.

14. Giving up what you love to do so that I can do what I love to do…I know it wasn’t easy.

15. Buying me unnecessary things…I promise I will take the tags off of that shirt I HAD to have one day.

16. Making my birthday special every year…even though I don’t like celebrating it.

17. Moving to a town where I found the friends that will be my bridesmaids…they are truly irreplaceable.

18. Accepting my bad grades and forcing me to make them better…that’s the only reason why I got into college.

19. Loving me through my middle school days…boy was I hideous!

20. Supporting my family to give us a roof to live under and food to survive off of…..not everyone's as lucky as we are.

21. Taking me on vacations that create memories I will never forget…you pick some pretty cool locations.

22. Pretending to laugh at my jokes so I think I am funny…...I know your fake laugh by now, so thanks for putting it to work.

23. Teaching me at a young age how to be the best version of myself that I can be…I wouldn’t have molded into who I am without you

24. Letting me know it is okay to cry…...Not everything is easy and some people think being tough is the only answer. You taught me that tears are ok.

25. For letting me live my dream…...not many people can thank their parents for that.

26. Saving me from bad decision…..I would have made a lot of them.

27. Letting me play sports when I grew up…it made me stronger and hardworking.

28. Paying for my medical bills…sorry I am so injury prone.

29. Picking me up when I couldn’t pick myself up…..that’s when I needed you the most, and you were there.

30. Making me a New England Patriots fan…GOAT.

31. Falling in love…I wouldn’t be here without you.
