Well winter break is coming to a close and everyone is ready to be back to head back to school, even our parents. We've been home about a month. That is a long time after being so independent for four or five months. But as we prepare to go back to campus, there are some thing to keep in mind throughout the spring semester.

1. Go To Class.

Whatever you do, go to class. Go whether you are hungover, half asleep, cranky, sick, anything! It show your teacher you are dedicated to their class. They will respect you more for showing up. Some of them might even just ask you go leave if you are too sick, but at least you showed up. If you can go out Thursday night, you can go to your 8am Friday.

2. Work.

Get on top of your work early. Don't let those assignments pile up. Use a planner to schedule time to work on your essays and assignments. Find a study buddy to go to the library with you. Because at the end of the day you are at school to learn.

3. Have Fun.

College is suppose to be the golden years. Go out and have fun with your friends. Don't stay in your room and hide away. Go get involved with something on or off campus you are interested in. If you aren't having fun, you need to change something.

4. Be Confident.

You are your own person. You are beautiful and strong. There is no one on this planet that can compare to you! Think this way, and present yourself in this way. Be confident in who you are and what you represent.Be the Queen or King, I know you are!

5. Be Yourself.

Always be yourself. If you are doing things you love, you will find people who have similar interest. You should always be doing what's best for you. You have to be who you are. Being you and loving 100% yourself is the only way to fully be happy in this world. Don't ever be scared to be you.

Good luck this semester. Finish strong because you got this. There is nothing you cant do. Just remember, go to class, do your work, have fun, be confident and be yourself.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
