People that know me know that I am very easy-going. There are a lot of things that don't really get under my skin. The things that do irritate me, I feel irritate a lot of other people too. A lot of theses things that I have listed below are just things that people shouldn't do anyway. So without further ado, here are just a few things that I think need to change in society.

1. Not paying attention to conversations

When you are talking, I am giving you my undivided attention, but when I start talking, you turn to your phone the entire time I am talking. Another thing that this could go with is when you are hanging out with friends or family, and they are on their phone the whole time. Well, I guess I will leave. I bet you won't even notice I’m gone!

2. People that get offended about anything and everything.

Do you ever not get offended and have to post it all over the internet? I mean, come on, if someone were to post a picture of themselves in church praising God, someone who doesn't believe in God might find that offensive and think it was being thrown in their face. If you don't like what anyone posts, you probably shouldn't have a computer. Just sayin'!

3. Basic manners

My 1.5-year-old cousin has better manners than most adults. I can't stress this enough; if a stranger opens the door for you, have the decency to say "Thank you."

4. Why don’t people go on dates anymore?

Whatever happened to a guy asking a girl out, picking her up at her house, and taking her to dinner or the movies or something? Nowadays people just "talk" and hang out a handful of times, and then make it official. Call me old-fashioned, but I would really appreciate it if a guy asked me out on a date, picked me up, the the whole shebang. But I guess our society doesn't deem that a necessary thing.

5. People that feel entitled to EVERYTHING!

I'm sorry, but believe it or not, the world does not revolve around you! There, I said it. There are some people who walk around like their sh*t don't stink, but guess what? You're just like everyone else. We all walk the same earth. We all breathe the same air. And we all have the same amount of hours in a day.

6. The term ‘Netflix and chill.’

We all know what that term means… Okay, well, maybe not everyone. But for those of us who do, it's hard to ask a friend to come over and just watch something on Netflix and literally just chill, not at all what the 2015 term implies. I have seen some texts from my friends' parents who do not know that this term actually means, and will text their kids asking if they want to "Netflix and chill" when they come home for winter break. I can't help but laugh! That term "Netflix and chill" does not mean what it actually does mean. It has kind of ruined my Netflix-watching experience for the rest of my life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
